    Effective, simple solution
I am thrilled to have found this product. Our old house has really awful, old, single pane metal frame windows that leak horribly. I ordered this product last fall and when we installed them, the outside temp was low and the condensation on the inside of the windows was so bad there was actually 3" of ice buildup on the bottom of one window (inside the house) and the others were sopping wet. We dried them off and installed the track and plastic - voila! Dry windows, no wind blowing through, and we can even see out of them. I had tried the other plastic coverings that tack or tape on (didn't like that tape at ALL) and after all that work they were virtually ineffective. This system is so superior! Installation is quick and easy (yes, it is a bit hard to get the top strip into the track but you can use a tool handle or something to save your fingers). The system completely seals the window so the energy savings is tremendous. My only suggestion to this company is to make one size larger - maybe something that would fit a sliding door - as I had to piece two sizes together to cover one large window and that one isn't sealed as perfectly as the rest. Until I can afford the expense of new windows I will leave these on year round for comfort and savings!
