For Indoor Use Only
The AirCycler GarageVent is a simple, flexible and economical solution for optimal garage ventilation. The GarageVent has the ability to control ventilation based on two factors: a set DELAY time and/or a set TEMPERATURE. This controller is also a great option for attic ventilation.
Attached garages are a source of potential airborne contaminants including carbon monoxide, gasoline vapors and fumes from stored auto, lawn and garden products. Garages lacking proper ventilation can be extremely hazardous for a home and the occupants. The GarageVent is a simple, flexible and economical solution for optimal garage ventilation.
The GarageVent has the ability to control ventilation based on two factors: a set DELAY time and/or a set TEMPERATURE. When a door is opened, the GarageVent controller will turn on the exhaust fan and continue to run after the door is closed until it has met the needs of the set DELAY time. The GarageVent can also be programmed to turn on the exhaust fan when a set temperature has been reached.
An unlimited number of doors can be hooked up. The GarageVent comes with two door switches. Additional door switches can be purchased.
Features & Benefits
The GarageVent controller will turn on an exhaust fan when it detects a door has opened. After the door has closed, the controller will continue to run the fan until the set delay time has run out. Delay time can be set anywhere from 0 to 2 hours.
The GarageVent controller will turn on the exhaust fan when a set temperature from 90°-140° F has been reached. Setting the dial to 0° will disable this feature.
Mount the door switches on the door and wall so that the magnetic strips on each are within 3 cm. of each other. Connect the supplied from the screw terminals on the door switches to the screw terminals on the GarageVent controller. Multiple wires can be connected to the GarageVent terminals.
Testing your GarageVent
To test the controller, without the door switches attached, connect a wire across the GarageVent screw terminals for at least 10 seconds and then release. The fan should turn on for the set DELAY time.
Note: If the door is left open for more than 10 minutes, the fan will shut off until the door is closed to save energy.
